Ian Clarkson and Rebecca Grant from the Jive Aces, talk about their new album “King of the Swingers” a Salute to Louis Prima. The 16 track album features some Louis Prima and Keely Smith favorites, a few lesser well-known Prima songs and also their hit version of “Bring Me Sunshine” which was prescribed by a doctor in the United states for his depressed patient! The album also features special guest artists including Toni Elizabeth Prima, Louis and Keely’s daughter, Dixieland jazz legend Kenny Ball, Ray Gelato, Marco Palos from Louis Prima Jr’s band, Rebecca Grant, The Flirtinis and Hossam Ramzy on percussion.
The Jive Aces are the UK’s top Jive & Swing band and since their appearance on “Britain’s got Talent” they have been performing all over the world. They have been together for over a decade and are extremely popular.
